LuckyLand Slots closed for good on September 14, 2026, when VGW shut off access and prize redemption requests. For slot players who need a new home, the closest sites like LuckyLand are Mega Bonanza, SpinBlitz, PlayFame and DexyPlay. Each one runs with no purchase necessary and accepts a free mail-in entry for Sweeps Coins.
VGW did not allow transfers of LuckyLand coin balances to its other sites, so former players started over elsewhere. Every alternative sets 21 as its minimum age, and each one excludes some states in its own Terms.

How the Four LuckyLand Alternatives Compare
Mega Bonanza, SpinBlitz and PlayFame each credit 4 SC per valid mail-in request, four times the 1 SC that DexyPlay credits. DexyPlay answers with the highest game count on this page and the lowest cash redemption minimum.
The figures below come from each operator’s Terms, Sweepstakes Rules and help center as recorded in Clovr’s October 2026 reviews. Redemption times are operator-stated.
| Site | Clovr Sweeps Score | Free SC with no purchase | SC per mail-in request | Cash redemption minimum | Gift card minimum | Redemption time (operator-stated) | Games | Minimum age |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Bonanza | 7.0 / 10 | Up to 3.55 SC over the first three daily logins | 4 SC | 50 SC | 10 SC | Up to 10 days | 1,279 slots and 4 live dealer games (casino.guru count) | 21 plus |
| SpinBlitz | 7.3 / 10 | Up to 3.55 SC over the first three daily logins | 4 SC | 75 SC | 10 SC | Up to 10 days | More than 1,500 slots (homepage) | 21 plus |
| PlayFame | 7.2 / 10 | Up to 3.55 SC over the first three daily logins | 4 SC | 75 SC | 10 SC | Up to 10 days | More than 1,800 games (About page) | 21 plus |
| DexyPlay | 4.9 / 10 | 1 SC after account verification | 1 SC | 25 SC | Not disclosed by the operator | Up to 30 days | 2,916 games (Clovr count, October 2026) | 21 plus |
Why LuckyLand Players Are Looking for Alternatives
Former LuckyLand Slots players cannot return to the site, and their coins did not carry over to a sister brand. The closure ran in stages over six weeks, which explains why sources quote different end dates.
VGW Wound Down LuckyLand Slots in Three Stages
VGW told players about the closure on July 28, 2026. Sweepsy and Gaming America each reported the same three dates from the player notice.
| Date | What changed at LuckyLand Slots |
|---|---|
| August 3, 2026 | Gold Coin purchases stopped. Players could keep playing with Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins already in their accounts. |
| August 24, 2026 | Gameplay ended. Prize redemption requests stayed open until September 14. |
| September 14, 2026 | Prize redemption requests closed, and the site stopped letting players in. |
Some pages give August 24 as the shutdown date, and others give September 14. Both dates are correct, because play stopped first and redemptions stopped three weeks later.
LuckyLand Coins Did Not Carry Over
Players could not transfer LuckyLand Slots Gold Coins or Sweeps Coins to a different VGW platform, Sweepsy reported on July 28, 2026. That rule covered LuckyLand Casino, Chumba Casino and Global Poker alike.
On November 5, 2026, luckylandslots.com showed an access-denied page. That page directs any questions to [email protected].
VGW Said It Was Shifting Its Focus
A VGW spokesperson told Sweepsy on July 28, 2026 that the company was shifting its focus to its other brands. LuckyLand Slots launched in 2018 and offered slots only, according to August 2026 trade reports.
LuckyLand Sister Sites Under VGW
VGW kept three other sweepstakes brands running after the closure: Chumba Casino, Global Poker and LuckyLand Casino. LuckyLand Casino launched in December 2025 and shares the LuckyLand name, but it is a separate site.
The Florida attorney general sued VGW over its sweepstakes operations in August 2026, Covers reported. The four alternatives on this page sit outside the VGW group.
Four Sites Like LuckyLand Slots
Each pick below uses Gold Coins for play and a second coin for prizes, the same model LuckyLand Slots ran. Each runs as a prize promotion under US sweepstakes law.
Gold Coins have no prize value. Sweeps Coins are redeemable for cash prizes once you meet each site’s playthrough. Playthrough is the number of times SC must be played before you can redeem them.
1. Mega Bonanza
Mega Bonanza keeps the focus on slots, as LuckyLand Slots did. Casino.guru counts 1,279 slots and 4 live dealer games there, and the operator does not publish its own count.
New players get 5,000 Gold Coins, per the help center. The Sweepstakes Rules add up to 3.55 SC across the first three daily logins, and Mega Bonanza lists no promo code.
- You can redeem once you hold 50 SC for cash, lower than the 75 SC that SpinBlitz and PlayFame set.
- Gift card redemptions start at 10 SC, with each Sweeps Coin worth $1.00.
- The rules allow up to 10 days per redemption and one request every 48 hours (rule 6.8).
- Mega Bonanza’s Terms v2.9, dated October 5, 2026, list 19 Prohibited Territories.
Each valid mail-in request earns 4 SC, and players must be 21 or older. No purchase is necessary to join Mega Bonanza, and Clovr’s Mega Bonanza review covers its full rules.
2. SpinBlitz
SpinBlitz holds the highest Clovr Sweeps Score of the four alternatives, at 7.3 out of 10. Its homepage lists more than 1,500 slots from 58 studios, including its own Spinblitz Originals.
New players get 5,000 Gold Coins plus up to 3.55 SC across the first three daily logins. SpinBlitz also lists a daily login reward of up to 2.50 SC.
- Gift card redemptions start at 10 SC, and cash redemptions start at 75 SC.
- The rules allow up to 10 days to process a redemption.
- SpinBlitz had no App Store or Google Play app in an October 2026 search, so players use an installable web app.
Each valid mail-in request earns 4 SC, and players must be 21 or older. No purchase is necessary to join SpinBlitz, and Clovr’s SpinBlitz review details its Blitz Jackpot.
3. PlayFame
PlayFame’s About page lists more than 1,800 games, including more than 1,700 slots. PlayFame also states that it adds at least 20 new games a week.
New players get 7,500 Gold Coins plus up to 3.55 SC across the first three daily logins. Any promo or referral code goes in the “Referred By” field at registration.
- Its iOS app held a 4.75 rating from 5,181 US ratings in October 2026.
- Gift card redemptions start at 10 SC, and cash redemptions start at 75 SC, with up to 10 days to process.
- Other PlayFame pages give lower game counts, so the library size depends on the page you read.
- A US Google Play search in October 2026 found no PlayFame Android app.
Each valid mail-in request earns 4 SC, and players must be 21 or older. No purchase is necessary to join PlayFame, and Clovr’s PlayFame review explains its seven-tier Fame Club.
4. DexyPlay
DexyPlay has the highest game count on this page, with 2,916 games from 31 studios in Clovr’s October 2026 count. It also runs 107 live games, which a slots-only site like LuckyLand Slots did not offer.
DexyPlay calls its prize coins Super Coins, worth $1.00 each once played through. New players get 1 SC after account verification, and a daily wheel pays up to 0.3 SC.
- You can redeem once you hold 25 SC, the lowest minimum of the four sites.
- Prizes from most free SC are capped at $25 per account under the sweepstakes rules.
- Redemptions usually stop at $100 a day, and the rules allow one request every 5 days.
- The rules allow up to 30 days to process a redemption.
Each valid mail-in request earns 1 SC, and the Terms require players to be 21 or older. No purchase is necessary to join DexyPlay, and Clovr’s DexyPlay review explains its Clovr Sweeps Score of 4.9.
How Clovr Chose These Alternatives
Clovr picked sites that use the same Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin model LuckyLand Slots ran. Each site was checked on the five points below.
| What Clovr checked | Why it matters to a former LuckyLand Slots player |
|---|---|
| Slot library size | LuckyLand Slots offered slots only, so Clovr looked for large slot catalogs. |
| Free SC with no purchase, including a mail-in entry | Players can keep collecting Sweeps Coins without buying Gold Coins. |
| Published redemption minimum and processing time | Players know how many SC they need and how long a prize takes before they play. |
| Minimum age and excluded states in the Terms | These rules decide whether a player can redeem at all. |
| Clovr Sweeps Score from an October 2026 review | The score weighs redemption reliability, terms fairness, free SC value, games, trust and support. |
Mega Bonanza leads the list, and the other three follow their Clovr Sweeps Score. Each score is the same one shown on that site’s Clovr review.
What to Check Before You Switch Sites
Check state rules first, because every site on this page excludes some states. Read the Prohibited or Restricted Territories section of a site’s Terms before you register.
The sweepstakes casinos by state guides cover each state’s status, and the sweepstakes legality guide explains the law behind them. Verify current laws in your jurisdiction before playing.
Free SC carries a 1x playthrough at all four sites before you can redeem it. At Mega Bonanza, SpinBlitz and PlayFame, unused SC expire after 60 days without SC play.
The free SC coins guide tracks no-purchase offers across Clovr’s reviewed sites. The guide to how sweepstakes casinos work explains how Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins work together.
